Our Mission Statement
To Advocate, Educate, and Provide for the health and well-being of companion animals in our community.
ADVOCATING for the humane and ethical treatment of companion animals.
EDUCATING the community on the behavioral, emotional and physical needs of companion animals.
PROVIDING for companion animals directly via the shelter and indirectly by facilitating care and homes via other avenues.
The purpose(s) of the Society are:
a) to act as a central network for lost and found animals;
b) to aid in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused and abandoned animals;
c) to help stop the over population of animals;
d) to provide humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection in the area served by the Society;
e) to seek suitable homes for animals without owners;
f) to provide euthanasia when it is deemed necessary as a humane means to end an animal’s suffering;
g) to raise money for its operation through appropriate fundraising and donations;
h) to offer educational programs;
i) to encourage spaying and neutering; and
j) to increase the quality of life for stray, unwanted and homeless animals by caring for them and seeking suitable homes.
