Ruby
ADOPTED FEB 2025
Ruby’s Happy Tail 💕
Ruby first won hearts right at ICAN, where she quickly became the unofficial board meeting supervisor. During meetings, she could always be found perched on a board member’s lap—observing every discussion like a true professional. That board member brought her home as a foster in November 2024, and by February 2025, Ruby had made it clear she was home for good.
She joined a lively household that already included two adopted brothers: Ginger Boo, another ICAN alum adopted in 2023, and Jack, a dignified senior adopted from the Edmonton Humane Society back in 2012. Ruby fit right in from day one—chasing her brothers through the house, ambushing Ginger Boo’s tail, and keeping a close eye on birds and squirrels from the catio.
While at ICAN, Ruby developed kidney disease, but with lots of love, attentive care, and a cozy forever home, she’s now doing well in late stage 1 to early stage 2. These days, she enjoys sunny naps, gentle playtime, and the security of knowing she’ll always be loved—proof that sometimes, the best board decisions are made by cats.
