Adult Cat

Adult cats ready for adoption

Ollie#2

MALE – MEDIUM HAIR – Orange & White … Estimated Birthdate: April 30, 2018

Ollie#2 was surrendered along with his housemate named Spydie. Both intact males when they arrived, of course neither will be leaving ICAN that way.

Both these young fellows had been living in a home, but had begun to spray, and so were brought into us for neutering and vaccinations, and socializiation towards finding them new homes.

At first they were very skitterish and we gave them time to hide in safe shelter conditions until they got comfortable with new humans. In their prior home they were good with other animals and young children were litter trained and used to being indoor/outdoor cats. They were for example amiable to being brushed and petted.

Spydie

Come meet Ollie and Spydie.  These two are such clowns.  Ollie is a mover and a shaker – he is curious about everything and likes to be busy. Spydie on the other hand, enjoys his naps with the odd playtime breaks.  Like any two male siblings, these two play too rough with each other at times, but it’s all in good fun as far as we can tell!   Both these boys are extremely affectionate, Spydie just takes a bit more time to warm up in new surroundings ❤  Spydie also has a pretty good RGF (resting grumpy face)

Caramel

Female: Torti – Est. birthdate: May 19, 2019

Is this not one of the most regal and beautiful little girls you’ve ever seen!

Caramel is just gorgeous and has come a long way from the frightened & painfully shy baby she was. She is so sweet and so photogenic. If you are looking for a lovely, quiet and calm little companion, then this girl could be for you!

Caramel came to ICAN along with her sibling Puma, after being rescued from a barn. She is fine with other cats and is very friendly with people, although she does take a little time to warm up to you and she purrs easily. She loves head scratches and playing and pets! She would be fine with a feline friend to play & hang out with in a quiet home.

Caramel has a very soft “squeak” for a meow, which is adorable!
She is now very ready for the next step of finding her own forever family. Please give us a call at 250-341-7888 to make an appointment to meet her.

Marchesa

Female – Pastel blue/cream calico, white toes
Green-gold eyes – Est. birthdate: April 27, 2019

Marchesa was initially shy of trusting human touch. She loves brushing /petting and string play but can be evasive about being handled.  This little darling was lovingly nurtured and socialized in the home of an ICAN volunteer after having been truly “born in a barn”.

Marchesa is fine with other cats and is very friendly with people, although she does take some time to warm up to you.  Marchesa enjoys being petted at eye level for some reason – how cute is that!  She has a very soft “squeak” for a meow, that is adorable!  She will take some time to warm up to a new environment but once comfortable, you will have a little girl who will always be happy to receive love.

She is now very ready for the next step of finding her own forever family. Please give us a call at 250-341-7888 to make an appointment to meet her.

Rafter

FEMALE – Black & Tan Tabby – Long Hair – Estimated Birthdate: Nov 11, 2014

Rafter came to us after being found alone and apparently either abandoned or stray in a not very good circumstance. She was small for her age, but she seemed to be in good shape and very friendly.

She got her name because once taken into a home she hid in the ceiling for 2 weeks.

This little girl is simply in need of a good loving home where she can settle in and share some joy. If you are looking for a young miss who can round out your family, please give us a call and arrange to meet her.

Chanel – In 3

FEMALE – Long Hair – Torti Estimated birthdate: July 22, 2013

Chanel is an adorable long-haired female tortie. She is shy upon greeting but a very personable kitty. She would enjoy the company of a human(s) who will dote on her affectionate nature. In return for your companionship she will share her beautiful purring songs and the calming touch of her ever so soft velvety fur.

Chanel recently returned to us from her loving home due to a loss in the family.  She was adopted from ICAN and was fine with other cats at that time.  In her home life she also shared companionship with several little dogs.

Chanel would do best in a quiet home with human parents who have time and attention to share with her. They (her new parents) will be well rewarded with her love.

Despite the restrictions Covid has placed on our shelter open hours, we are accepting adoption applications as usual and arranging for private viewing sessions for all our Adoptables.
