Dodger

Dodger – Male – Black & White

Estimated Birthdate:  July 19, 2018

Please meet (Artful) Dodger.   Dodger was brought to ICAN with his brother (Oliver) when they were rescued from the Radium area, after being spotted by passerby’s in the woods near a bridge.   We know there was a mother cat and 2 other kittens, but attempts to bring them into care as well were not successful.   Dodger and Oliver are in foster care with an ICAN Volunteer.

Dodger does exactly what we named him for, he is the first to check something out and then runs for cover or back away; does a lot of calling, and purrs loudly with any touch.   He also kneads anything like crazy, perhaps trying to stimulate feeding or attention.

Though they had a very ready “evade” button, they also had a very big appreciation for pets and gentle tummy rubs, and love playing with toy mice or balls.

They are rather wary of string, doing more watching than chasing.  They have settled right in like they’ve had “people” and cat food all along.

Update:   September 24, 2018 –   Dodger not only laps up attention, but he goes actively looking for it 🙂    Loving little guy who is more than ready to find his new family.   Both Oliver and Dodger are now at the ICAN center and ready for viewing and adoption.

ADOPTED October 9, 2018 together with sibling Oliver
