Patches – rehomed through courtesy post!

Patch-4My name is “Patch”. I am a (almost) 4 year old spayed female, pure bred beagle.   I am looking for a dog friendly home that would welcome me to live in your house.   I do all of my “business” outside and therefore am house trained.

I don’t like being outside except for when you take me for a walk with my leash.   If I am off leash, my hound dog nose takes over and I lose track of where I am suppose to be or who I am suppose to be with so I am safe with you on my leash.   I love children, youth, and adults.   I love to play ball and will fetch for you over and over.      I am most comfortable when I have a room in your house or gated area that I can call my own, or share with a buddy dog that you may already have.    I would be very unhappy in a crate or outside, so if that is all you have, I am not the doggy for you.  I am use to sleeping with 3 other dogs (another beagle and 2 dash hounds, but if you want me to sleep with you in your bed, I am a good girl who loves to cuddle.   Barking is something that I can do very well when someone I want to meet does not greet me, or I need a bathroom break or attention.   My bark is loud but I also know what the words “quiet patch” means.   I have been micro chipped for my safety, and up until this past year, I have had all of my shots up to date and my records can be forwarded to a vet of your choice.  My current owner is off to university and the parents of my owner are willing to keep me if I cannot be adopted by a new family.   I would prefer to go to a new home because I am rarely taken out for walks and I would love to have more exercise.   On the other hand, my current home will only let me go live with another family, if my life style proves to benefit me, otherwise, I carry on as I am, but am not as happy as I could be.  My current home also has said that if someone wants to give it a chance, and if it does not work out, they will take me back in a heartbeat, not questions asked.   They want what is best for me too, and only to improve my lifestyle.   Please call TC at 270-0273 if you would like to meet Patch.
